Peru has a sheep population of 14,686,310 aproximately. Wool has a fineness of between 24 to 31 microns, has good length (8-11 cm), high performance and good washing resistance rating.
This product is generally intended mostly for the local textile industry.
The most valuable wool obtained from these animals is that which comes from sheep 3-6 years.
The characteristics of the wool makes it one of the most appreciated in the world textile market. Peru has 89% of population of alpaca in the world.
